Studio

Heartwork Recording Studios is a professional recording studio in El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona.

Our studio features three acoustically distinct rooms, a state-of-the-art control room with an SSL ORIGIN console, and a wide range of analog and digital gear. Conveniently located near the city and airport, the studio offers a fully equipped kitchen and lounge area, with ground-level access, nearby amenities, and easy parking in the area.

Control Room

Our state of the art control room features a SSL ORIGIN console with classic 242 EQ and a 4000E-style style bus compressor fitted with two WES Audio NGLeveler automation system paired with ten BAE 1073 preamps—faithful recreations of the classic 1970’s Neve 1073 units, along with an assortment of high end analog and digital outboard gear.

Live Room

The Live Room, spanning 60m², serves as the main recording space. Its even, rich decay—lasting up to 800ms—adds character and depth, allowing instruments to project naturally. This creates a versatile and musical environment where the room’s unique sonic signature is captured differently with each project, depending on microphone placement and selection.

Featuring the Bösendorfer 280VC Vienna Concert Grand Piano.

Medium Booth

The 20m² Medium Booth features two brick walls that produce prominent early reflections and a decay time roughly half that of the Live Room. Despite its shorter reverb, it maintains a distinctive ambience, making it an ideal space for percussive instruments and guitar amps.

Small Booth

The 14m² Small Booth is a tight, dry space with heavily absorptive walls, offering virtually no natural ambience. Its controlled acoustics make it ideal for close miking, especially for electric and upright bass. While it’s designed for precision, experimenting within the space can yield unique results for any project.

Lounge / Kitchen Area

The studio is equipped with a full kitchen and dedicated lounge space with sofas perfect to take a break and hang out.
